James Blunt has had all his royalty payments suspended from his album and is appealing to London’s High Court under his real name of James Blount (changed to help fans pronounce his name correctly). Lukas Burton, a US music producer has claimed to have worked with James on six of the tracks on “Back to Bedlam” and has described the songs as being “crude” and even “laughable” at times in their original form. Burton claims that he deserves a cut of James’ profits from the album. Blunt and his record label EMI have now issued a writ against Burton at London’s High Court. |

It is amasing the depths humans will sink to when money is involved. Surely there are contracts drawn up at start of such collaborations but it seems when in this instance the album does much better than expected, then the claws are drawn with everyone wanting a larger cut. Get real. Lukas Burton should not be given a penny more than what his original contract states……..pure greed if u ask me.
