James Blunt is reportedly dating society girl Tara Palmer Tomkinson following a “rocky patch” with girlfriend Camilla Boler.

The singer, who penned his smash-hit single You’re Beautiful about Camilla, is said to have spent the night with Tomkinson after flying her out to join him in New York earlier this month.

A source tells the Sunday Mirror, “Tara was absolutely thrilled when James suggested she should fly over to see him in New York.

“It shows how much she means to him. Tara and James have been good friends for a while - but recently it has turned into something more.

“She knows all about Camilla and his relationship with her - and she knows it’s been going through a rocky patch.”

“Of course, she finds that sad - but that’s not her problem. Tara thinks James is incredible. He was so pleased to see her and they managed to find time for an intimate moment together.”

Whilst Blunt’s spokesperson concedes the pair did hook up in the Big Apple, they deny they are anything more than friends.

They state, “James and Tara are friends. Tara was in New York and did go to a gig but James is still very much with Camilla.”

However, when Blunt was seen disappearing off into the night with model Petra Nemcova last weekend after partying with Axl Rose at a New York nightclub, the spokesperson similarly explained away that the pair were “just friends”.
