James Blunt has been denied an invitation to the 2006 NME awards. The singer-songwriter was deemed “too dull” for organisers to invite, according to the Daily Star. “There was a lot of talk about James Blunt and the Kaiser Chiefs after their Brits nominations,” explained a source. “But while the Chiefs are A-List guests for the NME bash, James was considered too dull. Some feared it wouldn’t be long before some of the gobbier rock stars hit out at Blunt.” Ex-bodyguard and army captain Blunt has thus far not commented on the story. |
