Blunts Parents Demand School Fees Back    ·    January 6th, 2006

British singer JAMES BLUNT’s parents have asked him to pay back the money they spent putting him through school. The YOU’RE BEAUTIFUL singer, who changed the spelling of his surname from Blount to Blunt, went to prestigious private school Harrow, which charges parents $41,000 (GBP23,625) per year.

Blunt’s debut album has made him wealthy, after selling more than four million copies, so his mother and father now want their investment back.

His dad CHARLIE BLOUNT says, “He’s done frightfully well with all this pop music stuff.

“We’re terribly proud. Apparently he’s sold four million albums or something. That sounds very encouraging.

“We have decided that the time is right to ask him to repay us the considerable school fees we spent on him as a boy.”

WHAT????? BUT JAMES KEEP LOVING YOUR PARENTS…

As a single mother of three children I was not able to give them as much help with college, and life in general, as they needed and deserved. I help them in their lives today in many ways. They owe me nothing for it. Absolutely nothing. It was my choice to have them and raise them. If anyone in my family, children or parents, needs help with money I would and do freely give it as long as the needs are reasonable and not harmful. This is what families do out of love.

If you can afford it it might be worth it to you to pay it back, or part of it, to keep family peace. Especially if there is a real need on their part. One thing is for certain: any money you give that is not done with blessings from your own heart will not bring harmony, joy, love, or peace into the lives of whomever it is given. Our true intention always follows and will always be felt and manifested in some way. If you can give with a purity of heart, pay it, or wait awhile and see what happens in your heart.
There is nothing more important than that you be happy. Try to do what makes you the most happy. Sometimes it’s as simple as that.

thats ridiculous.. it was there decision to put him in the fancy private school.. which I’m sure he wouldn’t have learned any more than a normal school in.. and so it was up to them whether they paid it.. obviously from the amount, the family isn’t that hard up because to pay for a school that costs what £20,000 a year they must be pretty loaded. so to ask for it back.. when it was there decision to send him in the first place.. and they are rich enough to manage without.. AND off their own son… is pretty downright out of order. I mean, he can probably afford to pay it back but it looks like his parents are trying to sponge the cash out of him because thats just disgusting.
